We are excited to bring all the tradition and excitement of Alumni Weekend – along with some new twists on old favorites – right to you! You don’t have to be on campus to experience all the Love and Honor with our full slate of virtual events. 

Join us as Dr. Jeremy D. Jones, members of the Glee Club Alumni Advisory Board, and Student Leadership Team update the entire organization and Alumni Community regarding the Glee Club’s recent accomplishments and its plans for the future.

 

Jeremy D. Jones, Associate Professor of Music and Naus Family Faculty Scholar and Fisher-Holoviak Endowed Professor at Miami University, conducts the Men’s Glee Club and Collegiate Chorale and teaches choral music education courses. Dr. Jones has appeared in concert with the Men’s Glee Club at the 2014 American Choral Directors Association Central Division Conference, as well as at the 2012, 2014, and 2016 Intercollegiate Men’s Choruses National Seminars. In 2014 he conducted the Men’s Glee Club at the Concours Européen de Chant Choral in Luxembourg, where the group won the First Place and Overall Grand Champion awards. He represented ACDA as a conductor in the International Conductors Exchange Program in 2014, making his conducting debut in Beijing, China at the Forbidden City Concert Hall. In 2016 he made his conducting debut in Sweden with members of the Men’s Glee Club and Swedish male ensemble Ars Veritas and released an internationally distributed recording with the Men’s Glee Club (Veiled Light) on the Albany Records label.

Dr. Jones is an active guest conductor and clinician and serves on the Ohio Choral Directors Association board as the Youth and Student Activities Chair and on the Intercollegiate Men’s Choruses National Board of Directors. He also serves ACDA on the Standing Committee on International Activities, as well as the Central Division Representative for the International Conductors Exchange Program. He holds degrees from University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (DMA), East Carolina University (MM), and Middle Tennessee State University (BM).
