Join us for a special event as we present a hybrid version of the Scripps Gerontology Center's annual Leaders in Aging Research talk.
We are fortunate to have Dr. Kathleen T. Unroe, ’99, Professor of Medicine at Indiana University, join us on campus in Oxford. She will share an overview of the challenges in nursing home care and the work to improve the quality of care and quality of life for older adults with long-term care needs.
Dr. Unroe will describe the OPTIMISTIC demonstration project, an 8-year $30.3 million CMS (U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) clinical and payment demonstration project to reduce hospitalizations in 40 facilities. Learn more about finding academic opportunities for innovation and strategic business collaborations.
